Welcome to the Office of State Affairs

The mission of the Office of State Affairs is to create and maintain a strong foundation of engagement in our home state of New Jersey in support of Princeton University’s mission to advance learning through scholarship, research, and teaching of unsurpassed quality and its commitment to serve the nation and the world.  To serve this mission, the Office of State Affairs advocates on behalf of the University before state legislators and executive branch officials on issues that impact the University’s role in the state as a leading educator, innovator, and community partner; educates state leaders about the scholarship, research and teaching that takes place at the University, and collaborates with state leaders to build connections between state experts and the University’s administration, researchers, faculty and students.

This issue of the Capital Connector features the recently announced partnership with the state of New Jersey to establish a new AI hub that will enhance the regional innovation ecosystem, President Eisgruber's 2024 State of the University letter, and research discoveries that will expand the limits of human knowledge intended to benefit society.
